Howard. Also in the party are mental health nurses Alan Jukes and Richard Swan,
along with law student David Temple.
22:30 The investigation started with a walk around the different areas for the group to get a feeling of the place and which areas they wanted to concentrate on first.
Midnight the Group went into the North Drift to sit a while and see if any of them could see or sense anything, three of them sat in the area we call the cap whilst the others sat on the benches, Angie could see a man by the tub which is about half way down the drift, The three men in the cap all said they felt they should be looking to their left but did not know why. Then one of them says the name William and a little while after they all could see a figure move near the entrance from left to right and whilst they discussed this they could continue to see the figure move back and forth left to right, this figure has been seen on every tour, even when one of us goes to check the people in the drift can continue to see it, but when we are at the entrance nothing can be seen and there is nothing creating any kind of shadowy effect, Mark went to the area and set up a movement sensor alarm and then rejoined the group, the group could still the figure moving but it did not set off the alarm, one of the group also got a name of Thomas, Mark called out to see if there was a Thomas present, asking if he could make a banging or tapping sound or even allow us to hear his voice, we all heard a banging sound but it has not been picked up on the camcorder, we asked the group to try calling out to Thomas which they did, the three men sat in the cap area describe getting a feeling there is a little boy sat to their left none of them can see him but all say they get an impression of him and he has blonde hair, Mark placed the Sapphire EMF in the area to see if we get any readings but none was recorded, they continued to sit for a while observing when nearly all present could see a big bright flash of light about half way in, again we are unable to work out what this could have been, Angie calls out again to see if we can get a voice response but nothing happened. Mark had gone up to where the bright light was seen as he did some of the group reported seeing a figure to the side of me but I did not get any sensations anyone was with me, so I moved further up and again nothing.
02:20 am Ventilation shaft The group tried some Glass Divination the group tried several times for 5 minutes to get some communication but nothing was happening and after a while Angie says she can sense the two boys Teddy and Jarvis are present, they asked for a knock as confirmation and there is knock on the table, Dave J says he feels as though his left leg has gone freezing cold and it is as if his keys are moving in his pocket, then they try again asking can one of them to move the glass and the glass twists slightly, so they ask some more questions,
The group then go to Table Tipping
Then thing went quiet for about 5 minutes until the table rocks really fast and starts to tilt on two legs before flipping over, and as the group lifted the table it shot off in another direction and they continued to ask questions Were do you want to go Teddy / the table moves. Do you want to go to the Sound Room/ yes (table moves towards the Sound Room but continues passed it to the Deputies Room) so the group put the table in the Deputies Room and sat around it for some more Table Tipping. Whilst doing the table tipping Teddy was moving the table backwards and forwards to one of the group (Michael)
the table then shot towards the door and tried to go through it, so the group moved it through the door when the table shot down the Ventilation Drift and then back towards the Sound Room and stopped, the group asked did he want to go to the Sound Room and the table rocked fast.
03:20 am The group moved into the Sound Room to continue with the Table Tipping, they asked Teddy could he move or raise the table, the table then moved around in circles very fast and no matter what questions the group asked the table continued to go around in circles this continued for a good half hour, then started to rock backwards and forwards for a while at which point Angie hears his voice and looks at Tracey who heard it too, then one of the group asks was that his voice because I heard that, there is no sound on the camcorder tape to verify it. Things had gone quiet for a bit when one of the group asked "Teddy if you are still here give us a sign please, knock on the table or move the table" but there was no response.
03:50 am The group went into the upcast to ask some questions but only got very slight movements they tried for ten minutes before moving on.
04:00 am The group moved into the Museum part below the Gift Shop as they started the Table Tipping it moved around the pole they continued asking other questions but the table responded by going around the pole in circles, the group were still astonished and continued to watch each other to make sure none of them was moving it themselves. Angie suggested they move it to the other end of the room to which they did, then they asked is anyone with us and the table shot back to the other end of the room. The movement of the table was characteristic of a spirit called George in this area so they were told to ask for George to which the table once again moved around the pole, they asked if it is you George can you rock the table instead to which it did, they asked him to show them it was him and he moved the table again to the other end of the room, is this really you George rock the table and it rocked then shot through the door into a small room,
They continued to ask him to show them were his cap was and the table shot back through the door, the table continued for a while then with slight movements in the room until about 4:30am and then it all stopped and the investigation was closed down.
FINAL THOUGHT: The group had enjoyed the night and were pretty shocked by the table movements, even watching each other realising no one was manipulating the table at any time, but most of all over £300 was raised for a very worthy charity Zoe's Place Children's Hospice, if you would like to donate please visit the website by clicking here or click on the banner below.
