This report is for our second investigation at the Tom
Leonard Mining Museum.
All at A.G.H would like to thank the staff for their hospitality once again,
and for a great night.
Present for investigation from A.G.H were Mark, Angie, Kelly, Derek, Karen and
Darren, staff from the mine present were Joan, Paul and Maurice.
UPDATE: during the night two cameras have detected E.V.P
see below in blue text
The start of the night was setting up camcorders, the C.C.T.V and video recorder
was set up once again in the Gift shop the temp was 11.5celcius
Camcorder 1 was set up in ambulance drift temp was 13.0celcius and camcorder
2 in the Sound room temp 12.0celcius also trigger object slate and chalk were
placed in the Sound room.
Cam 3 was operated by hand by Derek and cam 4 by Karen.
10.50 we made our way to the North drift, about three
quarters into the tunnel, the N.I.D bleeped twice, once at the end we took temp
reading of 10.0celcius.
Angie picked up on a man present who gave his name only as Cawcliffe, (0 reading
on E.M.F) he then explained that there had been an accident, this had taken
place further down the tunnel (this was in august or September but no year was
given) and that he and a fellow co worker had been trapped, this was due to
an explosion, leonard was rescued but had hurt his leg, he was rescued later,
he comes back in visitation as he wants to know why the wrong tunnel was built,
he went to tell that there was a weakening in the tunnel and the explosion from
the dynamite caused it to collapse, the tunnel was built in the wrong direction,
after the plans were misread!
after this a young boy came through who didn't know his age but both Angie and
Darren felt he was either 9 r 10 yrs old, he gave his name as Stanley and he
had hearing problems in one ear, he had left his position, a small hole in the
wall were he would then rap on the rails to let people know further down, a
tub was coming, Stanley had left his position after becoming bored but hadn't
heard the rapping further up, he got struck by a tub and sadly died ( sometime
around 1890 ).
Angie had also picked up on a Mildred (Milly) who had lost her husband, and
had dressed as a man to work in the mine, she gave her reason for doing this
as she didn't want any of her children working there.
Also a man was standing near the entrance and was looking for his chains for
work.
23.25 we went to the Ambulance drift Angie, Kelly and Joan entered the room whilst Mark, Derek, Darren, Karen, Paul and Maurice stayed in the Sound room UPDATE: (at this time a childlike voice is detected on camera saying "get out") in the ambulance drift Kelly was tapped on her shoulder and heard a banging noise, Angie had also heard the noise, temp readings changed from 9celcius to13.0 and then down again, at the same time the N.I.D bleeped twice each time for a period of about 5 seconds and then a short bleep a third time.
23.45 we all entered the Ventilation drift temp was 13.0celcius again we got two bleeps on the N.I.D, once in there Darren got the name James come through and also a Jack Filby, interestingly before Kelly had given Angie the name James in the Ambulance drift,
00.00 we went back to the gift shop for a break.
00.25 in the Gift shop we decided to do a seance, we
placed a glass on the table, Mark was writing the report Karen and Derek were
on cams 3 + 4 whilst Angie, Kelly, Darren, Joan, Paul and Maurice placed their
fingers on the glass.

we finished at 00.50
we spent the next 30 mins discussing the tools that were on display and what they were used for.
01.26 we went to the room below the Gift shop to do a
table tilting experiment.
a young boy of about 13yrs called Jarvis come through, he didn't want to answer
any questions and as we asked them the table would remain still, if we didn't
ask the table would move, he seemed more happy to move the table for us, even
moving it from one end to the other, each member who was at the table (Mark,
Angie, Kelly, Darren, Joan, Paul and Maurice) took turns in removing their hands
to show no manipulation was taking place. Derek recorded whilst Karen observed
for any movements. The tilting experiment finished at 01.59 after the table
was moved through a doorway towards the sound room.
02.00 in the Sound room we continued the tilting experiment but we had no response we finished trying at 02.15
02.22 we went into a small room between the Ambulance
drift and Ventilation drift again we attempted a table tilting experiment

ended at 02.56
UPDATE: E.V.P detected on camera, childlike voice saying
"oo ye" and "thank you"
03.00 we again went back to the Gift shop for a break
after which Karen and Darren left for home. 03.30
03.50 we decided to do some levitation experiment that
the staff at the mine wanted to try.
The first volunteer was Derek then Paul and then finally Mark.
04.20 we went back to the North drift a standing seance was attempted, the man from earlier who was looking for his chains come through to give his name only, Frank Sutton. Temp was 9.5celcius.
04.58 we decided to call it a night as many were now tired.
in conclusion: again we had an enjoyable night and had many good responses to our experiments, the mine is an interesting and enjoyable place, made even more pleasurable by the friendly staff working there.
