Present from AGH where, Mark, Angie, Tracey, Steph, Jazz, Mike and Andy we where joined by Lauren the landlady for the night.

We arrived at 01.00hrs and started by setting up some of the equipment, we set up two camcorders on tripods in two areas where most things have been witnessed, we also placed motion sensor lights up, in and around those two areas.

01.30hrs. We spent the first part of the investigation by the pool table area as this was one of the spots one thing has been witnessed. We also became very aware of another spirit which was known to frequent the same area but more mobile. Whilst we took up positions in different parts around the table, Andy saw a figure move towards the ladies toilets, he and Jazz went to investigate but found nothing of consequence. Mark was stood to one side of the pool table and Mike was stood beside him, both leaned forward as if someone had brushed pass by, they both felt someone do this, but as is usual in these circumstances nothing could be seen by the others. Seconds later Tracey who was seated said she felt someone placing their hand on her arm, Andy stood at the end of the pool table also felt someone pass him by, it was as if someone was walking around us all making their presence known. We stayed in position for a while longer to see if anything else happened, but nothing did for a good 15 minutes.
Everyone in the room suddenly became aware of a young spirit in the room except for mark, they all sensed the presence of a child but no one could see it, the temperature in the room felt as though it had decreased, and we all felt an icy chill but Mark who was checking both temperature tools could see the temperature was in fact rising and did so by 5°c. Although we stayed still for a further ten minutes nothing else happened.

02.30hrs. We decided to stay in the same area as Angie was becoming aware of more stuff now. She said she felt that there was two grounded spirits here (Ghosts). The first was the man in the bar area where we had placed one of the Cams on a tripod. She described him as she seen him clairvoyantly, he wore a flat cap and was sat drinking stout and looked by his attire to be from around 1940's era, she felt also his name was Albert. The second Ghost is John who is where the stage area is now, she feels both men where regulars here. She is also aware of a young boy, she says this is who was moving around us earlier, Angie sees him and he has coal on his face as he was a chimney sweep, as she says his name is Tom, Jazz also says the boys name is Tom.
Angie feels he is more than happy to just keep running around us and is happy some of us are aware of him, she feels he is Tactile and is a spirit who comes in visitation.
Angie becomes distracted by a male and female who come in, she hears the lady call the man Robert, he takes a seat and starts playing cards. Angie tells us he used to go down to the harbour and she sees him filleting the fish, she says he took home the heads and he is from the Old town near by the pub. He shows Angie where he lived in the Old Town and she says he has a really broad Scarborian accent, he says he liked this pub and one other local one run by Mary on Longwestgate. There did used to be a pub on Longwestgate but it has now gone.
Angie then goes to Lauren and starts to tell her about another local man who was a regular and he is here now, although Angie was able to give both his Christian name and Surname we have been asked by Lauren to withhold it here from the site along with what the man had to say.

02.45hrs. Angie says Matthew is here, she looks at Lauren and says he is the one who moves stuff, in the bar and upstairs, Lauren says stuff does get moved but was hoping it was a relative, Angie says no it is Matthew, he likes the place to be clean and tidy and there is a proper place for everything. Angie says he is connected to Margaret who was very untidy and never put anything back in it's proper place and he was always tidying up after her. He tells Angie Margaret was a bit of a gossip too, listening in to conversations and then telling others what had occurred.
Angie's attention is drawn back towards the stage by Matthew who sees another man he called the Major, the Major was stood near to the speaker, Angie says he is in uniform and is watching us, Jazz, Mike and Andy all went over to check the area out, they all say there is a strange feeling there, and describe it as if walking into something electrical. The Major shouts out don't forget Old Bill he comes here too, Angie looks to where he is pointing and at the same time both Jazz and Andy say the saw a figure move from behind the bar towards the cellar, Just then The major disappears. So we decided to check out the cellar.

03.00hrs. We all went down the cellar except for Lauren and Tracey, as the team entered Steph tells Mark she can smell old blood as if it has dried, Mark says okay and the two catch up with the rest of the team who have already entered. As we walked in Angie is already discussing with Jazz that she can see blood on the floor where he was stood, she says a man was trapped down here, she says he was approached from behind and hit in the back of the head, causing a nasty injury, she continues to tell us he did not die here but was left here for three days before being taken out at night to be finished off and disposed of, she says his spirit comes back here. (We have been told there was a rumour of an alleged murder but there has never been any proof or any evidence to back it up!) Angie feels he was taken away and stabbed before being dumped. We were unable to get anything else with this.

03.30hrs. We went back upstairs by the pool table, whilst there talking Angie asked Andy to go and take some photos by the stage area, as he got there he heard a voice, Jazz and Mike joined him. Angie then says Elizabeth and Joseph are here but not together, At the same time by the stage away from us and unable to hear Angie say this, Jazz got the name Lizzie and Mike got the name Jospeh. Angie then tells us Elizabeth is connected to Matthew but is called Miss Elizabeth. Angie then starts to talk about many other objects that have been moved by Matthew and Lauren is able to confirm all of this.

04.00hrs. The investigation came to an end.

Final Thought: The Britannia was a very interesting place, we did not have much time to investigate but have been asked back for a follow up, which we believe is worthwhile.
