Situated in Whitby town centre, the George Hotel and Rosie O'Grady's a bar below the George Hotel, Formerly the Station Hotel, this grade two-listed building was purpose built opposite the train and bus stations and is an ideal base to explore Whitby and the surrounding area, around 1895.

From AGH were Angie, Mark and newest team members Kev and Alex, from Rosies were the Manager and Manageress and eight members of staff.

We arrived at 23:00 hrs and based ourselves near the kitchen and cellar area. We had a quick chat about were we needed to set up the locked off cameras, we decided to place one in the cellar and one in a bedroom at the front of the hotel as Angie felt there was a lady watching us from there on our arrival. At 23:22hrs we set up cam 1 in the bedroom and placed a trigger object in there, at 23;45 we placed cam 2 in the cellar.

00:00 hrs We went on a tour of the hotel with the staff around several of the rooms, were staff had thought they had seen or heard things. On the stairs Angie sensed a Victorian Lady named Helen, staff said they often felt like someone was present here.

At 00:04 hrs We entered the room were we placed the trigger object and noticed it had moved, but this is not visible on the camera!

00:15 hrs As we started on the next level Angie sensed a small boy named Thomas who played on the stairs some staff said they often felt someone brush pass by them and even heard a small child's giggle, as we reached the top Angie also sensed there had been damage caused by a fire which was confirmed.

00:30 hrs Back on a lower level we went into two bedrooms side by side one room felt OK, in the other room Angie sensed that a light in here would often be switched on when no one was there, staff said they often entered this room to find a light on that they had switched off earlier and no one else had been in the room.

00:45 hrs We went to two other rooms were members of staff would often stay in, again one of the rooms felt fine but the other felt a bit strange, Angie felt the temperature would change dramatically in here, staff agreed on both saying that the temp' would change so quickly in here and the other room was fine, they just wanted confirmation it was OK, whilst we were in the room with strange temp' changes the temp' did fall from 19.°c down to 0.9°c before rising to 21.5°c in a space of 5 minutes.

01.00 hrs We made our way back down stairs to the cellar. Angie said she wasn't sure were in the hotel but a man once hung himself in the building, this was confirmed.

01.09 hrs We all entered the cellar, Angie sensed a man in here named Jack, she felt he went from here to the Kitchen and Dining areas but he would only be seen as a black shadow, this was again was confirmed by staff. Jack was about 50-55 yrs and of stocky build but short in height, he told of a problem with the cellar being flooded, one time it even reached the ceiling, staff said it had been flooded a few times and once the water level did reach the ceiling.

01:24 hrs Then we left the cellar and made our way to the kitchen, once there Angie sensed that Jack would often be in this room too, and that he was responsible for moving the crockery and pans, and it was he who made the banging sounds, these were confirmed.

01:34 hrs We decided to go to the dining room and try some glass divination. FINAL THOUGHT: A great nights investigation Jack was ever present throughout the night, happily communicating with us all, wanting for his presence to be known and that he felt his wife was responsible for his sons fatal accident. Also we would like to a special thank you to all the staff at Rosies who were very pleasant and made us feel very welcome.
