In this section we will introduce you to some of the abilities used by Psychics and Mediums. We now have a page called sceptics view were you the reader can have the meanings of words used by sceptics explained.
We will look at AURAS, AUTOMATIC WRITING, CLAIRVOYANCE, CLAIRAUIDIENCE, CLAIRSENTIENCE, DIVINATION, DREAMING, ESP, PRECOGNITION, PROPHECY, PSYCHOKINESIS, PSYCHOMETRY, REMOTE VIEWING & TELEPATHY
AURAS:
The Aura is like an etheric skin an outer layer, most Psychics can see the Aura, but not all, as some only sense it, from this they can read our personality, health issues and even relationship problems, it is the colours and brightness of the Aura which tell the Psychic about our health and so on.
It is best described as an egg like shape around our physical body, and any breaks, bulges or distortion show an imbalance to our mental or physical well being.
For those who do not understand, think of the ready brek (breakfast cereal) advert on t.v, after the little boy has eaten his ready brek he goes outside into the cold but has a warm red glow around his body, this is similar to how the Aura looks.
The Aura has many different colours which tell the Psychic many different things about us.
AUTOMATIC WRITING:
Automatic writing is believed to be when you allow a Spirit, Spirit Guide or Higher Self to use your hand and arm, whilst in a Trance or an altered state of consciousness, to write answers to your questions.
The writing is not that of the person sitting, it often appears to bigger and scribbly, and without punctuation all the words joined as one, some have reported to write in a foreign language they do not speak or understand, it has also been seen to be written in a mirror image with sentences being written backwards.
CLAIRVOYANCE:
ClairVoyant
/ ClairVoyance
Meaning: Clair: Clear / Voyant: Viewing or Sight
The most common of the three and type we hear of the most.
Lots of people who often experience Clairvoyance tend to shrug it off as we
tell ourselves it's just our imagination.
Some have an over active imagination, however a well developed imagination
is very important to Psychic development, you have to learn to trust your
inner thoughts , your intuition, to know the real and the not real.
There are two types of Clairvoyance, Subjective & Objective
so what's the difference, most Clairvoyants are Subjective they receive their
messages in the following ways, using their third eye located in the forehead
slightly above the eyebrows, they receive visual images, symbols and impressions
some are like video replays in your mind on a T.V like screen, and sometimes
words appear in different forms, some will be bold like letters or colorful
and even like neon signs, photographic images are placed on the screen, a
way for Spirit who is communicating to show the receiver what they look like.
The second is Objective Clairvoyant they are more rare as they have the talent
of being able to see things or objects such as people or animals in Spirit
as if they were present, although Objectives see through their own eyes the
information still comes via the third eye, but they are much more heightened
and active, they are also able to see things like buildings in their original
state (on location they can tell you how a derelict building or room looked
in its former glory or as it once was).
Clairvoyants are also capable to be able read Auras (see our psychic ability
page) Subjectives tend to be trained whilst Objectives are believed to be
inherited or born with their ability.
CLAIRAUDIENCE:
ClairAuidient
/ ClairAudiene
Meaning: Clair: Clear / Audient: Hearing or Audio
The ability to hear words or sounds that are not of of this material plain
(earth) they come from the ether, the Spirit plain or realms, It allows communication
with Spirits / Ghosts, also such things as footsteps, often the Clairaudient
would hear footsteps or other sounds seconds before anyone else, like on location
when they say did you hear that then others can hear it, Parapsychologists
would say that is planting the seed, meaning once one person claims to hear
something we then allow our imagination to take control of our thoughts and
we then subconsciously hear the sound,
However we should also accept the Clairaudient being more psychically attuned
will often hear the noise, footsteps or voice before others, as their hearing
is capable of picking up on a frequency higher of that of our normal range
of hearing.
Clairaudience is sometimes triggered in the Psychic when they have both Psychometry
(see psychic ability page) and Clairsentient skills (explained below)
CLAIRSENTIENCE:
ClairSentient
/ ClairSentience
Meaning: Clair: Clear / Sentient: Sense or Sensing
Usually spontaneous experiences, or gut feeling, knowing on first entry to
a place the ability to sense strange atmospheres, or to sense the scent belonging
to Spirit, such as tobacco or a favourite perfume, being able to sense a Spirits
or Ghosts presence before Manifestation even takes place.
Clairsentients usually also have the ability of Psychometry being able to
touch an object belonging to someone alive or deceased and describing them
and their personality or features, it also seems more common amongst Women
and Children, as they are believed to have a closer contact to their emotions
than Men.
Intuition also plays a big part in it trusting your intuition and going with
your feelings.
DIVINATION:
The act
of foretelling or Predicting future events by means of inspired guess or presentiment
(presentiment -A sense that something is about to occur; a premonition)
the art or gift of prophecy by supernatural means.
DREAMING:
The Psychic ability to receive images, symbols or visions whilst asleep and then interpreting them back to someone whilst awake.
It is believed the images and thoughts are sent by Spirit, we accept them easier when asleep than awake, because we are free from our conscious mind, it is believed that our consciousness is at rest whilst we sleep, so we do not try to rationalise the important messages as we would whilst awake.
E.S.P (extra sensory perception):
ESP also
called the "sixth sense." The sensory information a Medium or Psychic
(and sometimes even others) receives which is beyond the ordinary five senses
hearing, smell, taste, sight and touch. It provides the individual with information
of the present, past, and future.
PRECOGNITION:
Nostradamus born in 1503 and died in 1566 was known as the greatest Seer ever, would use Precognition by focusing his attention into a bowl of water (known as scrying) by using the images projected from his mind he was able to foretell future events, such as the Nuclear Bomb,The Great Fire Of London and Hitlers rise to power. Precognition is an ability to be able to see into the future, by either impressions in the mind or through dreams.
To better understand ask yourself have you ever gone to a place for the first time but felt like you had been there before, even being able to know your way around, or what about meeting someone for the first time but you feel like you have already met, or a night out or at a party and you already know how the night would end.
People who are good at Precognition usually do so through forms of Scrying either in a Bowl, Mirror, Crystal Ball, Tea-Leaves, Tarot Cards, Runes or Coins, it is a form of Divination, which is the ability to see into the future by using the above methods.
PROPHECY:
A prediction
of the future, made under divine inspiration, some are believed to have a
special power which allows them to say what information spirit wishes to tell
people, especially about things that will happen in the future, such as when
giving a reading or reading the tarot cards, prophets have been known to exist
for a long time and are even mentioned in the old testament.
PSYCHOKINESIS:
The ability to will events to actually happen, to bring a visualization into a reality, a power of mind to effect matter, mostly reported in Poltergeist activity, it is believed the person affected is actually the one who makes objects move and not the ghost, as it is believed to be our own unconscious mind causing things to happen, more easily explained as the same technique used in spoon bending, it's mind over matter
PSYCHOMETRY:
The art of being able to read energy left on objects or ornaments that once belonged to a relative or items of clothing and jewelry, even buildings, it can even be done for people who are still alive, by giving an item to a Psychic to give you a reading, some Psychics can even do it with your favourite flower or a house plant.
It is best to use something that comes into contact with you or your passed relative regulary as they absorb the energies and hold them within their own energy although something touched only once can be used as well.
Buildings absorb energy like a magnetic video tape and when a Psychic enters the building, events and images are played back to them by the magnetic video tape (known as the Stone Tape Theory).
REMOTE VIEWING:
An ability used by Clairvoyants to view a person or scene in a different place to where the Clairvoyant is, it is believed to be either out of body travel or a projection of the mind.
Most believe they project their mind to a location and view exactly what people are doing, some have claimed to be able to send someone else into a room with an object and hide it, then the viewer can project themselves into the room to locate the object.
We have also read and heard reports of the viewer going to a location and actually leaving something there to be found by another person entering the room.
TELEPATHY:
Being able to project your thoughts into someone elses mind and being able to tune into their thoughts, it is often reported that two people can have a conversation of the mind by sending messages to one another solely by thought, no speaking , hand signals or any form of body language.
Some believe we all have Telepathic skills without even knowing it although we all think differently, our brains are like radios all tuned into different stations, but if two are tuned to the same they can then transmit thoughts to one another.
Married people can often be thinking the same thing at the same time, is it that one is transmitting the information whilst the other is receiving, how many times have you said "I was just thinking that" when someone says something.
Telepathy doesn't have to be done when two people are together, reports come from all over the world that someone in England is communicating with someone in Australia about the same thing to one another Telepathically.
