The Investigation
Privilege nightclub a laptop dance club in Scarborough, Reports of a black
shadow and stuff going missing. We had no knowledge of this before our investigation.
A four storey Georgian building,furthest we found in the records after investigation
was 1795 then named The Plough Inn although there was much building work taken
place in the area in the 1750's, also up until 1881 the Plough also had a
Livery to the rear, Coach and Horses operated from the Plough Inn up to at
least 1832, the coach was called the Prince Blucher and traveled to and from
the Plough every morning except Sundays too Sheffield via Malton, York, Tadcaster,
Leeds before arriving in Sheffield. The original building was much longer
than the present one. As in 1881 the Plough Hotel as it had become known was
under reconstruction, Scarborough born architect David Petch was responsible
for the redesign.
We went along to do base line tests in the daytime.
Basement we got a reading of 3 on the E.M.F meter after Angie (our
psychic) had said she could see a man lay in the corner in a drunken stupor,
the rest of the cellar we get 0 readings for.
Bar Area, Dancefloor and Seating Areas we didn't get any readings in
here although Angie said she could see a black shadow walking around, this
was confirmed by Ant the owner. Angie also asked Ant why no-one would sit
for long in a certain seat, Ant smiled and said people always feel strange
in that seat and get up and move.
First Floor we went into the big kitchen and got no readings the same
in the office, also there was a smaller kitchen once in there Angie had said
there had been a lot of activity in here, she could hear banging she could
also the black shadow in here aswell, she turned to Ant and told him it was
the shadow that was responsible for leaving the fridge door open, Ant confirmed
this happened a lot, we got a reading of 3 on E.M.F. On the same level was
the changing rooms inside the E.M.F went to between a 3and4 in here Angie
detected a spirit named Margaret known as Marg, she was a cleaner to this
property at one time, she claimed it was her who made the girls makeup and
other stuff go missing as she didn't like the room messy. Ant confirmed the
girls always complained about makeup and other stuff disappearing.
Second Floor living area the whole level was clear except for one bedroom
were once again the black shadow passed and went to the upper level of the
building 0 readings on E.M.F.
Third Floor a disused part of the building containing 5 rooms all doors
were still numbered from when it was a hotel, the shadow went into one room
were our E.M.F went to a 4, it was believed this was the room a man named
Jack had stayed, an alcoholic and a man with a mean nasty streak who disliked
women, this man was the one who was seen as the black shadow.
Nighttime Investigation
Present for night investigation Angie and Mark, also present Ant the owner
of Privilege and Kev the manager also several members of staff who we cant
name.
On the night we started of placing a camcorder in the basement and a motion
sensor, trigger objects in the changing rooms, trigger objects in the kitchen,
we went to the top floor were Angie had picked up on two spirit children in
one of the rooms, A little boy called Thomas aged roughly at 5yrs and a girl
called Sarah aged roughly at 7or8 yrs old.
Whilst holding the camcorder using nightshot we could see through the viewfinder
a little girl with pigtails, inviting each of the staff to come and view the
camcorder everyone claimed to be able to see the little girl.
We spent some more time up here going in each of the rooms, Ang turned to
Kev and said that in one of the rooms a lady had lost her baby through a miscarriage
and someone would experience a sadness in that room. When we entered that
room, one female member of staff became emotional and said she actually felt
like a chid had been lost in here.
We moved down a level everyone went into the living room except Ang, Ant and
Kev who entered another room where all three witnessed a white glow in the
shape of a figure, Mark was called in to take photos.
When we went down a level one of the trigger objects had moved in the changing
room. Whilst we all stood and sat still talking in general, a coathanger on
a rail started to sway from side to side rotating 90degrees everyone present
witnessed this, on replaying the camcorder what is believed to be an Orb floated
away from the coathanger as it stopped still.
After this Mark and Kev went to the ground floor where whilst talking both
witnessed an outline of the man in the seat.
AFTER A LONG NIGHT THE INVESTIGATION WAS BROUGHT TO A CLOSE AT 07:00am
A second investigation was done, present was Angie, Mark and Wayne the purpose
of this was a clearing on the top floor.
Reports that activity had calmed down lots but still noises were coming from
the top floor, all three returned also with Karen and Darren, the five of
us held a seance and helped the spirit known as Jack to move on.
In Conclusion no more activity has been reported.
