We started the invest at 23:45pm Angie, Tracey, Nick, Leanne, Claire and all went for a walk around the pub whilst Mark stayed in the sessions room setting up some equipment when the 2g EMF rose up to 40mgs by the fireplace Mark set up Cam 2 on a tripod and placed the 2g EMF and an infrared sensor alarm pointing towards the wall about 2 feet away from the fireplace and a tape recorder, with Cam 2 on the tripod recording it. John the photographer was in the room taking pictures and Mark was stood well away from the sensor alarm, when the alarm triggered by now the 2g EMF was fluctuating like mad. Mark observed for a couple of minutes trying to see if he could see anything or anyone, but nothing the 2g EMF then went back to 0 and the sensor alarm was reset.
At midnight the others returned to the room and Mark explained what had happened, Angie then sensed the name John Conway who has something to do with the place. She then chuckled and said she could see a man a famous man and said it was Dick Turpin (we have been to places before where there are claims Dick Turpin has been but this is the first time Angie has sensed him in a place we have been to) The landlady says that there is a scribe in a beam in a part of the building we have not been in a scribe of Dick Turpin and that he is reputed to have been here before. Angie then says this room we are in is linked with a room downstairs the dungeon. (Part of the cellar was used as a dungeon and the room we were in was once a courtroom, the sessions room was added to the Inn in the early nineteenth century and was the local court)
We then went downstairs to the dungeon as we entered Angie could see a man wearing Three Quarter pants a long sleeved shirt and a waistcoat his name is Jack, then she gets the surname Thomas and a date of 1658, she feels he shot someone and was held here for transportation he was a violent man and still is and she feels he is grounded. She also sensed a young boy aged about 6yrs who lived in the pub he had some kind of mental disability but couldn't get anymore with that. She then sensed a man that was murdered here in the pub called John Crowther he was stabbed but doesn't get a name for the man who did it.
Angie walks around the dungeon part and feels that often the prisoners would have cold water thrown at them to wake them, this was a holding cell before the prisoners were moved on, she also feels a whip was often used and prisoners were treated very bad. There have been men and women prisoners held in here together says Angie one woman was held here for stealing a sheep her name was Elizabeth her surname begins with H and feels the date was either 1725 or 1726.
As we all stood and and listened the Landlady saw a man directly in front of her and left the room, at the same time Tracey got really cold sensations down her right arm she could sense a young boy and could smell his body odour, just after that Tracey could see a man where the landlady had been stood and described him as Oldish, bald, missing teeth, a very scruffy man who had no shoes and three quarter trousers. Angie and Tracey get the name James for the young boy.
As we left the area and went back upstairs, the Landlady describes the man she saw and it is the same description that Tracey gave. We then went into the kitchen and Angie said she feels the utensils hanging up would move for no reason very often (the staff confirmed this saying it happened often) She could also sense that the spirit child played in here, during this Nick was interviewing the Landlady and then sadly the investigation was brought to an end.
I am glad to say we have rearranged a full investigation at a future date next year..
FINAL THOUGHT: We did not have long in the pub to do much of an invest but glad we have arranged to go back with a full team as we feel the pub is very active!
