"Married
To A Medium"
WOMANS
OWN 5th FEBRUARY 2007
What's it like being married to someone who talks to the dead?
We meet the other halves of three of Britain's top Psychics...
Womans Own Magazine interview the partners of what they called
Three of Britain's top Psychics, Mark husband too Psychic Angie Riley, Julie
wife too Ian Lawman and Gwen wife too Derek Acorah, in a double page spread.
Here is our part.
Mark, 37, and medium Angie Riley, 41, from Scarborough, met
nine years ago but have very different views on the Paranormal...
Angie and I had only spoken a few times when she told me my Gran was watching
over me. "You're not one of them, are you?" I laughed. I'd met other
so-called mediums before and thought they talked a load of rubbish. 'Sensing
my sceptism, Angie remarked, "Your Gran's telling me to call you Mark "E"
Mark not Marky Mark."
'I was astonished, that was Gran's nickname for me - the "E" stands
for my middle name. She then revealed other personal details and described Gran
perfectly.
'I'm still sceptical, but we respect each other's views. We've set up a business,
Abbey Ghost Hunters, to investigate paranormal activity. Angie tries to prove
a spiritual link and I give a scientific explanation. 'At home, I'll often catch
Angie communicating in her head with spirits. Sometimes she shoos me away because
I've disturbed a conversation. Thankfully, I've yet to wake up and find Angie
talking to someone else in the bedroom!
'She only gives messages to people who want them, and had the ability to ignore
the most persistent spirits. As Angie says, not everyone wants to receive a
message from a dead relative!'
