Something strange? Call ghost hunters

IF there's something strange in your neigh-bourhood Scarborough's very own ghosthunters could help.
Abbey Ghost Hunters are offering their services to help people prove there really is a haunting taking place.
There have been a number of spooky goings-on reported and the ghost hunters, headed by Mark and Angela Riley, say they are happy to try and find out more with their ghost hunting equipment.
They are a group of paranormal investigators, who examine properties and buildings, in and around the Scarborough area.
The team set up a vigil, which includes digital camcorders, digital cameras, voice-activated recording equipment, an ion detector, trigger objects, CCTV and motion sensors.
These methods were used when the Ghost Hunters were called to Privilege in St Thomas Street to try and solve the mystery of objects going missing from the girls' changing rooms.
Mr. Riley, of Strensall Drive, said “We were called in twice and detected orbs (sorry but no we did not say that!) that flew across the room and shadows. We often just go to places to help people prove they are not going mad. There are different types of ghosts and we can identify them.”
Mrs. Riley, a psychic medium said “This service is needed and it's becoming a really busy time for us as word of mouth gets around. It's just a hobby but if we can help we will.”
The service is free of charge even though it operates on a full time basis.
Mr. Riley said the idea first came to him when he and his partner were working in a building that was haunted.
"I used to be sceptical about ghosts and things like that but then I started to learn more about it. I joined a local group in Manchester where I lived but this broke up so we decided to set up a new one in Scarborough,” said Mr. Riley.
The Ghost Hunters have just come back from a nightclub in Liverpool after staff and customers complained of being pushed about and have visited a number of properties in Scarborough.
All evidence is put on video to keep and view.
