Midnight: On arrival Angie first sensed a lady who entered the main bar area and walked towards the Tv on the wall, she had no more with this at the moment but said she would come back to the area once the investigation started to see if more information could be gained. She also felt the presence of a teenage boy called Joseph. Alan felt the presence of a woman in the dining area and gave me the name Bella. We proceeded through the main bar area into the smaller bar area, to get our equipment ready and set up.
00:39am We started the investigation by going into the main dining area, the team were drawn to the far corner as they had sensed the presence of a little girl, they described as wearing a floral dress and long blonde hair, Tracey could see her legs and said she wore black boots, whilst Angie saw her top half and gave us the name Milly. Alan also sensed the presence of the little girl but could not see her, we did not get any readings on the E.M.F and the Temperature registered 24.5° celcius, but this was the Temperature as the rest of the room. As Angie left the corner she Chris and Jazz all heard someone whistling but as they moved out of the area towards the small bar area they could not work out exactly were it came from, but Angie says she then saw a Monk sat in a chair, as Tracey stood in that spot she felt uneasy on her legs and slightly sick. We set up a camcorder on a tripod and a sensor light and indoor thermometer in that area as Angie felt we would have a better chance of recording him than the little girl as she moves from area to area.
00;45am We moved into the main bar area as we did both Angie and Tracey felt as if someone was stood behind Angie, but we could not see anything or get anything else with this. As Angie was stood near the door she said she could feel someone between some friends of the Licencees who stayed for an hour out of interest. Angie said that someone was sat between two ladies near the door she feels he is John he was not a farmer although he shows a horseshoe for some reason, maybe a lucky symbol of some kind, she says this is the area he likes to be in, he likes to sit here and watch people his surname begins with S but not sure yet what it is. She then looks to the left of the ladies and says there is a child present here too, it's Milly from the dining room, she has joined us. Angie goes to John, he had his own Tankard here, and was a very proud man", she also feels there is another man present called Samuel, she gets the date 1775 he makes her feel uncomfortable with this character as he looks down on women, he is very Angry and he moves stuff behind the bar, in fact if I stood behind the bar I would feel him behind me. She then gets the surname Mellor. At this point Mark asks where he is exactly and Angie replies he is behind the bar now, she says she now feels physically sick. We took temperature and E.M.F readings but nothing. Angie feels someone is watching us from the other side of the bar a male, both Chris and Jazz also felt the same thing but did not see anything Alan however saw a man but only for a split second. Angie then says William are Izzy are still here Al was once again getting the name Bella whilst Tracey had the name Isabella (Izzy and Bella are both short for Isobella, if all three are one and the same person we are not sure yet). Angie then felt she needed to be behind the bar itself and proceeded to that area, once there she again sensed young Joseph a 14 year old boy, he watched with intrigue. Angie then started to talk to Nigel the Licencee as she did Alan saw a woman come from the main door and walk towards the Tv as Angie had seen earlier, Angie is telling Nigel she senses a woman walking around upstairs and we will go there next, she says she feels that behind the bar stuff moves, she then elaborates further and says Money as she can hear it being tinkered with, it is Samuel who does this, she describes him as a man with long wavy hair wearing a shirt with a ruffle and a scar on his left cheek, Nigel confirms that there have been times he has put money down in one place and once his back is turned it has moved! He has been here for over 200 years and is not aware he has passed and he gets angry when he is ignored, that is why he moves stuff. Angie then talks about the lady upstairs again and gets the name Jane she is the front room and wears a Victorian dress, she is Charlotte Jane and gave birth here, sadly it was a stillborn, there is also a male upstairs called Jim.
01:14am We went upstairs but Alan remained downstairs with the guests, we went to the room Angie had seen a woman sat in the bedroom window on our arrival (Room 4), as we entered Angie could see Charlotte Jane sat in the window again, She looks towards the bed and discusses the stillbirth again. Tracey felt a sharp pain around the abdomen area but felt it was not to do with Charlotte but another lady who worked here called Mary. We went to room 2 next to room 4 to have a look, Angie could hear someone walking around on the landing she also said that Charlotte Jane passes between these two rooms. Angie then wanted to go to the room at the back (Room 3). As we entered Angie could see a desk and books, she feels a male presence in here who does artwork, drawings and painting, he happily invites people in to look at his work as he is very proud of it and he is a happy go lucky character it is Jim who she had sensed when downstairs, "they tipped me out" he tells her the pub was taken over and he was a lodger but when the new owners arrived they asked him to leave. He then tells Angie a lady spirit called Annie is also present who is also happy to talk to Angie and tells her they (her and Jim) were very good friends people thought there was more to it but there was not, although Annie had wished there to be. As we left the room Angie felt someone tug on her shirt but no one was there, we then went downstairs to the kitchen.
01:42am Kitchen area. As the team entered Angie felt this room could be very active and stuff would get moved. As they moved into the far corner Angie said there was a male spirit present and said he looked a little like the actor Charlie Drake but with a beard, he just hangs out here he was a bit of a comedian himself always making people laugh. Chris asks was this a coaching inn at anytime Angie replies I don't know but then says she hears a voice very clearly saying "NO" Alan then joins the team in the kitchen and says he was drawn in here all night as he sensed a lady in here called Mary, she was in service here a maid or a cook he wasn't sure what exactly, he feels she a child with her possibly Milly who had been picked up on earlier.
02:00am We stopped for a break and a recap on what we had picked up on so far.
02:50am We went to the main bar area again to try some glass divination, we placed a table directly in the path of where the lady would walk from the main door to where the Tv is, (Originally where the Bar was). Angie, Tracey, Alan and Jazz all sat at the table Chris was on camcorder and Mark took notes. They placed the glass on the table and asked questions. (When doing glass divination we ask the spirit questions that can only be answered Yes or No, if the answer to a question is Yes the glass will move, if the answer is No the glass will stay still). The team sensed Mary had followed them from the kitchen so they started with her.
Angie then sensed the lady who passed the area again she is Sally so we asked her some questions
03:58am We left the main bar area and went to the Dining room. We went to a different corner to where Milly was, due to when we went upstairs Alan had seen someone in this corner. We set up for glass divination, not a lot happened here other than Alan had sensed this was originally a cottage (the pub was originally four cottages) Angie had picked up on two brothers Harry and Elwin who were miners and originally from Wales a village called Ffynnongroew near Talacre (I have checked this out and it is true the village is near Talacre).
04;15am We tried another part of the dining room but again nothing happened, so at 04;45am we ended the investigation.
FINAL THOUGHT: The place was great we come up with a lot of names some are proving hard to find, but most importantly the areas of activity and what our team said happens was correct leaving Nigel feeling somewhat more comfortable and sane!
