THE ABBEY GHOST HUNTERS TEAM JOINED UP WITH RADIO STATIONS STRAY Fm, MINSTER Fm, NORTHALLERTON Fm and HOME Fm FOR A LIVE GHOSTHUNT ON HALLOWEEN 2007 FOR HAUNTED at HALLOWEEN.
The show run from 7pm until 10pm to allow listeners to get in touch with their stories and then from 10pm until 1am we were live. As it was alive show things took time to get going as there was interviews to be done along with the introduction for the show, nevertheless our team got straight into things with the equipment along with Angie and Mark we also had present from AGH Tracey, Wayne, Kev, Jazz and Steph.

 

 

THE INVESTIGATION:

As we started Mark was in the Chapel with Chris from Stray Fm giving his interview, Angie was downstairs with Dave and Peter from Minster Fm, after the opening interviews they joined us in the chapel.
Angie senses a man stood in the doorway near Peter she says he wants her out of here she feels he is very malevolent and he is also connected to the walkway around the top of the tower, she says if we was up there we would get the sensation of someone wanting to be pushed, Chris says that some of the staff from the radio stations who had visited previously had got the same feeling then Chris smells vomit but no one else can.
Angie also gets a sense of a woman in blue coloured Tudor style clothing (1485 - 1603) and gets the name Anne who walks the stairway she is Tactile and interferes with electrical equipment mainly in the gift shop which is another of the ladies area, Angie says she is not evil but shoves passed people like she is in a rush Angie feels this is often misunderstood and people think she is malevolent.
As Angie stands in a particular spot she feels the atmosphere is very heavy Chris says that Brooksey who was in the studio had been here in the day and had felt the same thing in the same spot, she also feels there is at least six grounded spirits here.
Dave and Chris continue to interview Angie as they do we all got interference in our mobile radios and Mark heard a whistle in his (for the record only I Chris and Dave had a radio each we were all stood in clear view of each other all had our radios in positions they could be seen and no one had touched them). Dave also got pins and needles in his arms and feels heavy he then feels he is losing sensation in his legs and sways slightly, Angie says she feels backache and headache coming on then everyone in the room starts to feel the backache and a touch of Vertigo except Mark who feels nothing, but explains the floor is sloped and this could be causing the vertigo like feeling.

Meanwhile the team were going round seeing if they could pick anything up Kev and Wayne were together on one side whilst Tracey Jazz and Steph went to the other side, Kev and Wayne didn't pick anything up but Temp and EMF readings of the site, Tracey Jazz and Steph sat in an alcove and Jazz started to get pains in his side Tracey then said she could see a hand placed on his shoulder and hoped it had recorded on the camcorder (unfortunately it hasn't) Steph tried sitting were Jazz had sat to see if she could get any sensations but only felt as though her right eye was swollen the others said it looked as though she had a black eye. They moved on into one of the staircases and as they went up they stopped about half way due to feeling an uneasy presence so they decided to wait a while to see if they could sense anything else. Whilst stood there they all heard what sounded like a heavy sigh. Jazz then started to feel a burning sensation to one side of his face and moved up a few more steps he stopped as his heart rate started to race fast and then he felt as if he had been stabbed and had to sit down, he started to get sensations to do with this and says it was a small blade like a dagger but very small, it wasn't a fight that took place it was a murder, he says a man was walking up the staircase and was confronted by a man in front of him who pulled out the dagger with his left hand and thrust it into his chest and as he turned to make his escape another man was waiting behind him. He says he does not know what time period but all three men wore hessian type clothing, at this point they left the staircase as the feelings were overwhelming and they entered the courtyard were they were met by Angie and Mark who had just come down from the Chapel.

Then they are joined by Chris and Peter as Dave is now in the Chapel with Minsters guest medium Simon Peters who had just arrived, (PLEASE NOTE Simon was invited by Minster Fm to see if he could get the same information as our team to confirm information already given by us, we do not know Simon and have never worked with him before so there is no connection between us and him at all).
We stood in the courtyard and Angie and Jazz had just picked up on a man stood near the fireplace they both got the name Richard but nothing else, Angie looks up to the top of the tower and again picks up on the man who is up there his name is Ibrahim, Chris asks what was the warning you had for Peter (as we first arrived Angie told Chris she was concerned about someone called Peter as he somehow would resemble someone from Ibrahims past, she was concerned Peter would be hurt. It is important for me to mention that Angie did not know any of the radios staff names except Chris and Dave) so Angie explains again to Chris, Peter asks what should I do then his microphone stops working, so Angie insists he stays by her for the rest of the night so she can keep an eye on him.
Chris then explains to the listeners that the lights have now gone out and asks Angie what else is she getting. She starts explaining she is sensing there is suicide here and it's not blood on the walls, she is not sure at first what this means (but the story goes, A mob of citizens rioted against the Jewish population of York, and 150 of the Jews took refuge inside the castle. Many of the Jews committed suicide rather than allow themselves to be captured by the bloodthirsty mob outside, and more died when the building was set on fire. The remainder were slaughtered by the mob. The castle was rebuilt in 1270 this time in stone, then when the castle caught fire again people claimed to have seen blood seeping out of the walls) anyway Angie then senses the red in the walls is Iron Ore (this would have been caused by the heat of the fire causing the ore to melt and pour out of the brick).
Angie then senses another man who is about 4 foot tall and he was a guard here at some time she feels he is grounded but is unable to get any more information regarding this man, she also senses two children a boy and a girl their names are Harold and Josephine.
Then Chris thought he saw someone in one of the upper floor alcoves as he says this Angie says Isobelle but thats as high as she goes, it feels like if you are stood here sometimes you might hear what sounds like someone walking above you even though there is no longer a floor there.
Once again Angie is drawn back to the fireplace and says Richard he was a peasant, but Chris jumps as he thought he saw a shadow move out of an alcove and into were the toilets are, (interesting enough both Kev and Tracey who are stood away from them can be heard on another camcorder at the exact same time as Chris saying exactly the same thing) Kev and Wayne went in to see if they could see or sense anything but nothing.
Séance in the Chapel

Before we went into the Chapel Clare tells them about the little girl she and Jazz and Steph had sensed in the courtyard called Sophia and had blonde hair she was about 4 years old, the little girl who was trying to escape from someone as she wanted to go and play the little girl was not connected to the massacre. We then went upstairs and Simon starts to say the little girl who was 4 and had blonde hair was a Jewish child and she was killed by her father with an axe! (The Jews had decided to kill their wives and children to save them facing an horrible death outside, so the idea was to be quick and as painless as possible) anyway he took the axe and chopped and chopped “you can feel her fear amongst the pandemonium, the girl has blue eyes” (although there is no records of how they killed their children I would imagine they would have most likely killed their wives by cutting their throats and suffocated the children, surely trying to axe off someone's head would have taken several blows, maybe it would have been kinder to send the poor child outside to the angry mob who would have showed more compassion than that) controversially both Angie and Clare say they felt the child had been suffocated.
Chris asks Mark to explain about glass divination and then a protection prayer is done.
We placed four ladies at the table with their fingers on the glass, Jill, Hayley, Steph and Bridget, Mark explains we are using the women as we feel the little girl is more likely to trust them than men, the ladies try to get the little girl to communicate with them, they tried for a while and nothing happened so they asked for someone else.
Angie gave the names Abraham and Isaac but it is Abraham who is the malevolent one who wants to hurt the males here, so Chris calls out the name Abraham and although the glass did not move the four ladies at the table start to feel icy blasts of cold air around them, Mark and Chris could feel it to as they were stood next to them.
Just then Angie senses a woman present she is a relative of the little girl and she wants to be with her, Angie sensed she had been hit in the back of the legs and knocked to the floor beaten and abused, they are not connected to the Jewish people just like Clare said earlier, Chris explains what Brooksey had said earlier about feeling dirty when he was in this room, Chris then stumbled to the floor despite being stood perfectly still, Dave jumps in are you ok but feels weak in the legs himself and turns to Simon, who says the lady is the little girls mother! Wayne who was watching Chris at the time said he could see Chris fall and it looked more like he was pushed as his legs did not bend or move at all.
As we continued to call out the name Abraham and also tried Isaac, Tracey and Jazz can be heard on the camcorder Tracey had discussing a man that they could sense behind them in the doorway, Wayne speaks out from the other side of the room that he could see a mans figure stood in the doorway just as Simon who was stood directly by Tracey and Jazz, came out and said he was aware of a mans presence in the doorway! (exactly as Tracey and Jazz had just said)
Simon gave the name Aaron so they continued with the names Abraham and Aaron but the people at the table said they only got any response or sensations with the name Abraham.
Sadly the night had drawn to a close before we could really get anything going.
FINAL THOUGHT: The investigation was slow at times and the Séance was too, I had looked forward to the fact another Medium was invited but was very disappointed with someone who can only give other peoples information, I shouldn't have Expected anything else from a person who has taken the name of an apostle (St Peter). I don't wish to sound Jealous if that is the way it has come across but this type of carry on only adds fuel to a sceptics views on mediums.
