CLEVELAND IRONSTONE MINE
We arrived at the
mine at 22:00hrs to get set up and have a discussion about our last visit
and to see how the staff felt.
Staff present from the mine, Joan, Margaret, Paul and Peter.
Present from AGH, Angie, Mark, Derek, Kelly, Tracey, Karen and Darren.
23:00 we started
with a table tilting experiment in the museum, below the gift shop, sat at
the table were Joan, Margaret, Paul, Peter and Tracey on cameras were Derek
and Darren, Angie brought in the communication, Mark took notes, Kelly took
temperature readings and Karen observed,
at the start the temp' in the room was 13.9o.c, we got lots of movement on
the table throughout the tilting experiment, but this turned out mainly to
be loved ones coming through, until 23:40 Tom himself came through with a
message (as this was a private message, we can't post it here, however we
have just had this message confirmed today 21/02/05) at this time despite
the room feeling much colder the temp' started to raise from 13.9 - 19.1 this
was observed by Kelly. Derek and Mark it then went down to 18.8 and remained
so for the next ten minutes.
23:50 we moved back upstairs to the gift shop whilst Angie gave the staff from the mine a demonstration on scrying, which we would be doing later in the night,
00:30 we took a break for a while to discuss the night ahead.
00:52 we decided to set up camera 1 in the museum as a lock off.
00:55 we set up
in the ambulance drift and stood in a circle, everyone took part except for
Derek and Karen who were on cameras and Mark who took notes.
During which Angie sensed a Mr. Benson present and Darren sensed a man stood
near the doorway who was observing us.
Also during the circle everyone was asked to call out anything that come to
them we got the words Cold, Ice, Pick, Pain, Draught, and Candle all come
through several times, we also got the words soldier and Albert come through,
we finished at 01:23, we left camera 2 in the room for a lock off experiment.
01:29 we moved
into the deputies room for a seance using a glass, we asked for spirit to
come through and communicate with us by moving the glass to confirm yes for
an answer and let the glass remain still for no,
everyone took part except Darren who took photographs and Derek and Karen
were again on cameras whilst Mark took notes again,
we asked was there anyone present and the glass moved, we proceeded with the
questions,

A) yes
Q) are your work friends with you
A) no
Q) have you any relatives with you
A) yes
Q) is your wife with you
A) no
Q) do you visit here
A) yes
Q) can you make a noise
A) no response on glass
but the seance was interupted when noises could be heard, what sounded like
footsteps and the door to the sound room moved quite a significant amount,
we finished at 02:30 as no more responses were made from the glass.
02:30 we stopped
for a short break and reflect on how things were going so far.
03:00 we went back to the sound room to perform a scrying experiment, we took
turns sitting and looking into the mirror to see what responses could be made,
Joan- reaction was her face changed into a red Indian,
Margaret- reaction was half her face disappeared,
Paul- reaction nothing,
Peter- reaction nothing,
Darren- reaction nothing,
Mark- reaction a man with a long drawn face and beard, and wearing a long
grey coat,
Tracey- reaction white clouds and mist,
Derek- reaction half his face disappeared,
Kelly- reaction face changed to a skull,
Karen- reaction nothing,
Angie- reaction a glow to the right side of her and her face felt hot on the
same side, (Tracey reported seeing a glow at one side of Angie at the same
time)
then Angie and Mark sat together to do a joint scrying experiment,
Angie- reaction ancient drawings to her left side and her eyes changed shape
sort of elongated,
Mark- reaction Angie looked different a ladies face appeared and seemed to
be crying and to her left a young boy roughly aged about 11years old.
03:45 we moved
to the ventilation shaft to perform a table tilting experiment, on cameras
Derek and Darren, at the table were Mark, Angie, Peter, Paul, Joan and Margaret
and Tracey, Kelly and Karen observed,
just as we started everyone present heard footsteps (which we experienced
on our first visit here)
as we all looked towards were we felt the footsteps had come from and asked
was anyone present the table moved quite vigorously, we had placed the table
in a position were it would take some force to move, this way were able to
see that no one was manipulating the table, we placed our fingers on the table
and asked questions,

A) yes

A) yes
Q) is there anyone else here
A) yes
Q) can you move the glass on your own
A) yes
we then took our fingers away from the table to see, we asked for the glass
to be moved, it seemed to twist slightly, and watching back on cameras it
seems so, we then placed our fingers back on the glass and asked

A) yes
Q) married
A) yes
Q) did you work here
A) yes
Q) in the north drift
A) yes
Q) with many people
A) yes
Q) did your relatives work here
A) no
Q) did you work with your friends
A) yes

at that point no more responses were made and we finished at 04:45.
We moved back upstairs and at 05:00 we called it a night.
FINAL THOUGHT: once again the mine proved an interesting place to be and the staff as always very good company to be with and very hospitable..
